6 times All-Star DeMar DeRozan has agreed to a 3-year, 70 Million sign and trade to the Sacramento Kings, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The trade involving the Kings, Spurs, and Bulls will send a 2031 unprotected first-round pick and Harrison Barnes to the Spurs and Chris Duarte to the Bulls
The Bulls are ready to rebuild around Most-Improved Player Candidate Coby White, and the Spurs will upgrade their 3-point shooting with Kings wing Harrison Barnes in their rebuild around Victor Wembanyama
What this means for the Kings

Trade Grade: A
The Kings have long been in search for their third star as they continue to build around Fox and Sabonis. The sign-and-trade for DeRozan is perfect for the Kings, as they get a huge upgrade over the previous wing Barnes who they sent away for DeRozan. The duo of Fox, DeRozan, and Sabonis, alongside the runner up for 6MOY Malik Monk will make the Kings one of the deadliest offense in the league. Even without DeRozan, the Kings have shown before their historical offense in the previous seasons, which they look to improve next season
While the addition of DeRozan doesn’t improve the defensive issues of the Kings, it is a huge upgrade for the Kings with how little they had to pay for the trade. The Kings will certainly continue to be in search of a defensive player to enhance the team as a whole
With a few more signings and trades, the Kings could look forward to finishing as a top 6 seed next season in the competitive west. DeRozan brings experience too, which could help the Kings to improve their playoff records past the second round.
