The 2024 Offseason has officially begun and exciting signing and trades are being made every day into Free Agency. Our crew from California Basketball will be predicting the 2 most likely scenarios for what each team’s offseason will look like and the moves the teams will make
Free Agent Signings

The Lakers have already resigned D’Angelo Russell, meaning the team will most likely be in pursuit for a big man. With the core of Lebron, Davis, Reaves, and Russell, the Lakers are highly likely to sign a center that provides defense or a 2-way wing. The targets for the Lakers include:
- Dario Saric
- Saric would be an underrated upgrade for the Lakers, providing size in the paint and outstanding ability to stretch the floor with his 3-point shooting ability
- Miles Bridges
- After returning to the league, Bridges’s price has fallen significantly, which could be a key to the Laker’s offseason. Bridges could fit in as the missing Power Forward the Lakers are in search of, and his production is worthy for his low price.
- Tyus Jones
- Jones could be an upgrade on the backcourt, yet Russell’s decision to resign makes this signing less possible
Trades

- Brook Lopez
- According to multiple sources, the Bucks are asking for a first round pick for Lopez, which could be a great opportunity for the Lakers to move Davis to Power Forward and get the stretch-big man they desire
- DeMar DeRozan
- DeRozan has been on the radar for multiple seasons. With the Bulls previously trading away Caruso for Josh Giddey, the Bulls might be ready to move on from DeRozan for their rebuild. While DeRozan is a free agent, it will take a trade or sign-and-trade for DeRozan to end up on the Lakers
