1. Miami Heat
The Heat are stuck in the middle between playoff hopes and rebuilding. The team refused to trade for Kevin Durant due to their focus on youth development, making them the one of the favorites to land Jonathan Kuminga.
The Heat are rumored to be seeking an Andrew Wiggins trade partner. The Miami Heat could potentially trade the former Warriors All-Star Andrew Wiggins straight up or with some assets such as Pelle Larrson for Jonathan Kuminga in a sign-and-trade. However, this trade is less likely compared to the following trades.
2. Sacramento Kings
The Sacramento Kings have been the Heavy favorites in many rumors to land Kuminga in a sign-and-trade. The Kings could deal Jonas Valanciunas or DeMar DeRozan in a trade. Valanciunas adds the interior presence the Warriors desperately needs and DeRozan is a lethal third option behind Curry and Butler. The Warriors can also explore a trade of Kuminga, Moody, and multiple picks for Domantas Sabonis in a trade that makes the Warriors instant contenders. The Sabonis trade is more unlikely, yet the Bulls have a more likely trade that sends a former All-Star to the Warriors.
3. Chicago Bulls
Although the Bulls have less assets compared to the Kings, the Bulls are among the most anticipated Kuminga sign-and-trade destinations because of their emphasis on youth development and team rebuild. The Bulls could trade former All-Star Nikola Vucevic and picks or role players such as Jalen Smith in a sign-and-trade for Kuminga.
A Vucevic trade will be the most likely scenario if Kuminga is traded to the Bulls. The former All-Star is a good third option behind Curry and Butler. He also adds interior scoring and rebounding to the team and fits the Warriors system due to his ability to stretch the floor and fit with All-Defensive Power Forward/Center Draymond Green.
