Prior to Training camp, former DPOY Draymond Green was reported to be issued with a left-ankle injury.

The Warriors shared that Green’s left lateral ankle sprain would be re-evaluated in two weeks. Furthermore, the recently-signed reserved guard Cory Joseph will also be re-evaluated in two weeks for a back injury.
With the ankle-injury, Green will be missing two weeks of the Preseason and especially the opener against the Los Angeles Lakers along with the second following game.
With Green missing out, Coach Steve Kerr has expressed their plan to experiment with the new roster, with plans of potentially playing Klay Thompson at power forward, starting Chris Paul, or increasing the usage of their newly-signed forward/center Dario Saric.
