His GOAT Point Guard
Apppearing on Underdog Fantasy’s It Is What It Is, Damian Lillard dropped bombs on the recently popular All-Time Point Guard Debate. The Portland Star said he ranks Magic Johnson as the Greatest Point Guard of All-Time.
He claims that the reason is because Stephen Curry is not as much of a facilitator for the Golden State Warriors, and that although the Two-Times MVP is surely an All-TIme great point guard, Draymond Green is the dynasty Warrior’s main play-maker.
“I think if Steph played in a offense like me, where it was required to have to have the ball more, we would get to see him do more point guard stuff,”
– Damian Lillard
The debate started when Curry claimed himself as the greatest point guard of all time on Gilbert Arena’s show while appreciating Magic Johnson’s ‘ridiculous resume’.
Best Current Point Guard
When Lillard was asked about the best Point Guard currently in the NBA, he gave a really direct answer
“I don’t think nobody is better than me when I get on the court.”
– Damian Lillard
Lillard wanted to make it clear that he believes when he’s on the court, he’s the best point guard in the NBA. Following his claim, Lillard went on to call Curry, Kyrie Irving and Russell Westbrook as some of the best point guard opponents he’s matched-up against during his NBA career.

Although most people’s choice for best current point guard would be between Curry, Shai, or Doncic, Lillard certainly has a point on being one of the best on the court. Coming off a career high 32.2 points per game season, the seven-time All-Star ranks sixth all-time in three-pointers made and continues to make history.
