The Haters are back! Despite Shaq being known as one of the most dominant players of all time, the haters assumed that if Shaq is playing in today’s small ball era, he wouldn’t dominate the league as he used to. In response, Shaq posted a new Instagram video shutting down what he believes as ‘false narratives’.
In the video, Shaq demonstrated some unseen footage of his shooting range, elite dribbling skills, and much more. Although Shaq wouldn’t play along as a small ball player in today’s game, he does have a point in ‘dominating’ any era.
Looking back at his career, Shaq posted record breaking numbers for a center as he destroyed anyone standing in the post during his prime. If he posted up against any centers defending him in any era, it is safe to say that Shaq could still destroy them with the same way he used against bigmen in his prime such as Ben Wallace, David Robinson, Jermaine O’neal, Yao Ming, Alonzo Mourning, Dikembe Mutombo, and many more.

Moving on to today’s league, the most noticeable bigmen are MVPs like Giannis, Jokic, or Embiid. These MVP caliber players has added more shooting range, passing game, and different uses of basketball IQ. Although Shaq might not be able to mimic the play-style of theirs, Shaq can still easily get 30+12 on any given night at his prime state of dominance.
